Dr. Jane Mulrooney (MB. BCh. B.A.O., BSc. Pharmacology, MSc. Clinical Dermatology) and Dr. Katherine Mulrooney (MB. BCh. B.A.O, MSc. Clinical Dermatology, Dip. Dermatology) are at the forefront of all advances in the treatment of ageing skin and cosmetic dermatology. After studying medicine in NUI, Galway, both sisters completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Dermatology at the renowned St. John's Institute of Dermatology at the St. Thomas Hospital London and thereafter have a combined thirty years’ experience specialising exclusively in cosmetic dermatology. Both sisters continuously update their knowledge with frequent travel to recognised international conferences dedicated to cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Jane Mulrooney and Dr. Katherine Mulrooney have become known for their light-handed and natural approach to facial rejuvenation.
The philosophy of Doctors Mulrooney is that less is more. You can always add rather than taking away so treating conservatively and reviewing results two weeks after treatment is their unique selling point. “Patients want to look as well as they can for their age, not 20 years younger, so we treat their individual skin concerns, slowly and subtly, in stages”.
“In the past, non-surgical cosmetic treatments focused solely on filing or ironing out wrinkles. This approach alone creates unusual looking or 'monkey' faces, where people have no lines or wrinkles, but they don’t look any younger or more beautiful. For optimum cosmetic enhancement, we address the real or underlying cause of facial aging using innovative treatments, combined with evidence-based skincare that restores a more youthful and natural appearance with healthy, glowing skin.” says Doctors Mulrooney.
Their keen aesthetic eye and less-is-more principle, have earned the doctors an excellent reputation and moreover, a loyal client base. Faddy new miracle treatments do not hold much weight with the Doctors Mulrooney, and the treatments which they specialise in have all been FDA approved and, more importantly, have delivered consistent, safe results over the years.
