Ultherapy or Ulthera is the first and only non-invasive, non-surgical FDA approved lifting and tightening device. It delivers a micro focused ultrasound to the deep layers of the skin causing a contraction without disrupting the skins surface. Ultrasound is used to visualise each patient skin depth so that a bespoke treatment regime is created for each patient to attain the maximum lift and tightening of the tissues.
It is used to tighten the jawline, neck and underneath chin but can also be used to lift the brow and for wrinkles under eye, above lip and to improve skin crepiness on the décolletage.
Any patient that has concerns about a sagging jawline, sagging neck, heavy brow, loose under eye skin or wrinkles in décolletage. Any patient that is a candidate for a lower face lift but does not want to undergo surgery. Ulthera is also ideal for both male and female patients who want a more natural approach to facial rejuvenation or those who want tissue lifting and tightening without fillers or botox.
This is a once off treatment that lasts up to three years. It takes 1.5 hours. There is no visible downtime afterwards and patients rarely bruise so you can resume your normal activities straight away. We do offer patients pain relief for the treatment in the form of paracetamol and codeine. Afterwards, the face can feel slightly achy when touched and this sensation can last for up to one month.
Ulthera works well with full face and neck Botulinum Toxin. As we age, depressor muscles in the face and neck that cause sagging become overactive so if we can relax these downward pulling muscles, the tissues are lifted so combining full face botox with Ullthera means that the tissue lifting affect is augmented.
