Profhilo is an injectable Hyaluronic acid that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin while significantly improving skin tissue quality and hydration.
This is a more natural product than traditional hyaluronic acid fillers as there are no chemicals added to stabilise the product. Profhilo is injected into ten points on each side of the face and the same ten points are used for every patient. The product flows underneath the skin and finds where it needs to be, making it a bespoke treatment for each patient. Profhilo can also be used to treat neck lines or crepey skin in décolletage area.
The treatment takes 25 minutes. Numbing cream is applied to the area for 20 minutes and the product takes 5 minutes to inject. After the treatment there are “bumps” where the product has been injected - these settle in one hour. Bruising and prolonged swelling is rare. Concealer can be applied after one hour.
Any age patient from bride to be to grandmothers who want a naturally hydrated, dewy skin tone with collagen and elastin stimulation resulting in lifting and tightening of the skin. If you feel you want to boost skin luminosity and glow but are not yet ready for traditional filler, then this is the product for you.
Profhilo will always look natural. It will never result in a puffy pillow face result that some traditional fillers can cause. It works well when combined with a light full face botox which gives a natural, refreshed but not a “done” look.
The treatment involves two sessions one month apart and results last for six months. Cost is €950 for two sessions.
